The Steppenwolf Associates—young professionals with a passion for their internationally recognized ensemble theater and superb networking skills—launched their benefit season with a sold-out theatrical evening titled: Unlocked: From the Page to TheStage.
Associates Co-Presidents Jon Blanc and Shilpa Rupani and development committee members Harriet White, Adrienne Pope and Eléonore Moncheur de Rieudotte welcomed 120 guests who contributed more than $23,000 for Steppenwolf education.
Sponsored by Ice Miller and Winston & Strawn LLC, the event featured food and beverages donated by Adobo Grill, BLVD, Candid Wines, CH Distillery, Hopewell Brewing Company and Vinci. To end the evening, guests attended a performance of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, followed by an after party at Front Bar.
The Steppenwolf Associates have made it their mission to raise awareness and funding for Steppenwolf’s nationally recognized arts education program. At over 70 young professionals and growing, they are committed to inspire Chicago teens to become lifelong theater lovers. They are united around a passion for performance, an appreciation for arts education and the inherent ability to cut loose while giving back.
Admission to the Steppenwolf Associates occurs on a rolling basis, with members given the chance to become mentors to Chicago high school students as well as to get to know the Steppenwolf ensemble at private post-show events.
