Who better than nimble Chicago comedian T.J. Shanoff, Second City host, director, writer and musical director, to introduce Martin Short, creator of some of Saturday Night Live’s  cleverest characters, to the 800 guests attending the recent Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation’s annual fall luncheon at the Hilton Chicago?

Second City’s T.J. Shanoff speaks at the Fall Benefit Luncheon.

Short movingly shared the impact of cancer on his life, with the death of his mother from breast cancer in 1968 and then his late wife of thirty-six years, Nancy, to ovarian cancer in 2010.
