The almost priceless Claude à edux ans—estimated to bring as much as $10,000,000—is part of the fabulous collection
of important impressionist and modern works of art to be auctioned by Christie’s in New York next month.

Christie’s hosted the formal “kickoff” for the Chicago Antiques + Art + Design Show last Tuesday night, adding enthusiastic support to the Woman’s Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital, which is hosting the Opening Night Party for the annual spring show, and Dolphin Promotions, the show’s producer.

In not quite three years, the Antiques + Art + Design Show, which returns to the Merchandise Mart May 17-19, has become the focal point for much of the season’s prestigious socializing, including the immensely successful Opening Night Party, to be hosted by the Northwestern Memorial Hospital Woman’s Board on May 16.

The Christie’s cocktail reception presented an exhibition of highlights from upcoming New York auctions, which will include American, Post-War and Contemporary, Impressionist and Modern, and Latin American Art.

According to Cathy Busch, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Christie’s Midwest, “This exhibition has been carefully curated to appeal to top Chicago clients.” And it has allowed guests to interact with Christie’s senior specialists who have been visiting from New York.

Christie’s gallery installed with highlights from their upcoming May sales in New York, including works by masters such as Picasso, Monet and Botero, to name a few.
