Symphony Ball guests received not only a red carpet welcome but also a brass quintet salute as they arrived last Saturday at Symphony Center—all prelude to a mellifluous gala when the Women’s Board of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra raised over 1.1 million. A preconcert champagne toast for all concert goers celebrated the Symphony’s artistic education and community engagement programs and honored Music Director Riccardo Muti’s 13th year of collaboration with the CSO.
