Oh, what you and I could do with this baby!

What’s on the calendar for this Friday and Saturday, March 8 and 9? Whatever it is, scrap it! Nothing could be more important than having a shot at becoming owner of the above tribute to over-the-top 1940’s wrist candy. And what about your choice from the following selection of brooches? You can have them—any or all—plus much more at next week-end’s Lake Bluff History Museum’s Trinkets & Treasures sale.
Or these?
Here is what Museum spokesperson Adrienne Fawcett says about the two-day event, “Trinkets & Treasures includes tables full of interesting items that board members and volunteers have been collecting for at least 50 years, such as antique jewelry; vintage jewelry; mid-century brooches; collectible and vintage watches; signed costume jewelry from the 1940s; and 14-carat gold jewelry and sterling silver jewelry. Many of these items come from the estates of longtime Lake Bluff residents.”
What about this matched set of glam jewelry?
Or this?
Garnet and crystal, maybe.
Or a bit of Tiffany.
What about a vintage Omega men’s watch?
Or even a vintage pocket watch?
