A perfect transitional look at Tory Burch
The dilemma of the seasonal switch is never easy for the fashion forward. While the summer heat continues and some are happy to don their well-loved cotton frocks and simple sandals, those who preordered the most in-demand new boots, coats, and knit dresses are waiting for a precipitous drop in temperature. Until they can comfortably wear the wonderful wool and sumptuous suede treasures, trendsetters skillfully employ the best accessories and accent pieces to turn heads and inspire others.
Belts
For Fall 2024, belts top the list of now and later must-haves. It appears everything looks better with a belt, or on the Junya Watanabe runway, many belts. Everyone has a simple smooth leather belt with a statement-making metal buckle in the closet. It’s the perfect finishing touch for any in-between ensemble. Other options are almost like jewelry for the waist. These include leather straps that wrap around and loop into a sculptural sardine at Bottega Veneta and a delicate gold belt that spells out “Chloe” at Chloe.
The Brooklyn 39 from Coach
Bags
Put away the raffia and reach for the leather or suede in an oversized silhouette. The Row’s Margaux is still ruling waitlists and wish lists everywhere. Vogue.com recently called it an “heirloom in the making.” For those in need of more instant gratification, Coach has a viral hit with the Brooklyn bag, a sleek hobo style that goes with everything.
Capes
While it’s too warm for full length coats and cloaks, a cape adds drama and a sense of romance to everyday ensembles. Truly an underrated outerwear option, a cape is a keepsake and surprisingly useful in a well-rounded wardrobe.
