Chicago Zoological Society Luncheon
You read about Winnetka author and entrepreneur Alyssa Rapp in Classic Chicago last October and here she is again. The Chicago Zoological Society hosted a presentation and luncheon in honor of the CEO of Surgical Solutions and author of Leadership & Life Hacks: Insights from a Mom, Wife, Entrepreneur & Executive.

The luncheon, held at Brookfield Zoo, was attended by 40 guests, including members of the Chicago Zoological Society board of trustees and Women’s Board. Guests were welcomed by John Grube, chairman of the board of trustees for the Society, and Dr. Stuart Strahl, the Society’s president and CEO.
During a pre-luncheon reception, attendees were able to meet some of the zoo’s animal ambassadors. Following lunch, Cherryl Thomas, vice chair of the Society’s Board of Trustees, moderated a conversation with Rapp that included major themes from Rapp’s book and her own professional achievements. Each guest received a complimentary signed copy of Leadership & Life Hacks.
Alyssa Rapp is also a lecturer in management at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, and an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago’s Booth Business School.
