Chicagoan Robin Malpass has produced a documentary, The Oyster Shucker, (Amazon, Netflix, YouTube) about the United States Champion, Honor Allen. Robin, accompanied by Penny Brown and Jan Kostner flew to Galway to attend the 70th International Oyster Shucking Competition. Honor placed 3rd among a field of 17. He is now off to Maryland to retain his American championship title to be able to compete next year. The competition was quite the event, with a parade through town and loads of oysters and champagne. Trip was fantastic.
