At the Four Seasons
By Megan McKinney
Kristina McGrath and Marci Holzer co-chaired the evening of glitz and glamour.
It would be difficult to dream up a phrase describing the membership of The Service Club of Chicago more accurately than Glitz & Glamour. Not perhaps in Bertha Palmer’s era, but surely today.
Therefore, the title, Glitz & Glamour, was appropriate for the annual gala hosted earlier this month by the 126-year-old organization. As it always is, the ball was held at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago on the first Friday of November. And, once again, The Stanley Paul Orchestra provided diners and dancers with the most glamorous music in town—but this year, members appeared to outdo even themselves in an abundance of furs, feathers and glitzy glamour.
Gala Co-chairs Marci Holzer and Kristina McGrath oversaw the glittering evening, supervised by Service Club president, the ever dignified Kathy Cook.
