Chicago, home to the creative arts scene and to a deep history-rich cultural heritage, crafting a recipe for an unforgettable Halloween night. The city of Chicago has partnered up with LUMA8, an independent not-for-profit organization, to help produce its 9th annual Arts in the Dark Halloween Parade. The family-friendly parade will include creative floats, puppets, and amazing performances. The parade will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the location will be held in State Street, extending from Lake to Van Buren Streets. There will be some pre-parade fun beginning at 5 p.m. with a candy giveaway, so showing up early will be greatly rewarded.

Creativity and fun are the main focus of this parade, with a spooky twist of course. The event will draw out all kinds of participants from cultural organizations, youth programs, and aspiring artists. Halloween naturally brings out the unique and creative artistic approach from artist then most holidays, it’s almost certain that being able to dress up brings out the creative energy out from within.

The Arts in the Dark Halloween Parade has been gaining a vast amount of recognition, internationally too, with people from all over the world coming out to visit Chicago during this spooky season. This parade is the great appetizer to trick-or-treating on Halloween. This magical evening will have you dancing the night out with ghosts and goblins, and maybe with Shrek too, enjoy a night of specular visuals. Fill up on a night of eye-candy before actual Halloween candy.
